Andy Lawson
Producer/Mixer/Engineer
Andy Lawson has taken an organic approach to developing his technique and style as a Producer, Mixer, Engineer. As a stage tech and tour manager for 5 years, he worked on the ground with top Perth musicians as well as playing in local four-piece, The Avenues. Lawson built his base in production working with some of Perth’s finest artists including Little Birdy, Eskimo Joe and Sugar Army on their earlier recordings.
More recently, he has worked alongside the legendary Magoo to produce and engineer End of Fashion’s second album, Book of Lies, followed by post-production work on Eskimo Joe’s fourth album, Inshalla.
2009 has been a very busy year for Andy. In addition to his work with Eskimo Joe he has worked with young exciting new artists such as Young Revelry, Trigger Jackets and Circuits of the Sun, who have come to him to record and/or mix their new releases.
Andy has recently begun to build his own studio in the foothills of Perth giving Debaser Studio a new and permanent home.
The quality and diversity of Andy’s work over the past 7 years has cemented his name as a reputable, growing Producer, Mixer and Engineer in WA. Keen to work with artists of all levels from across Australia.
